6th Grade Awards and Honors 2006/2007.

The DeGrazia 6th Grade recognizes students who have earned awards and honors by placing their names on this page. If your sixth grade student earned an award and his or her name is not displayed on this page, please contact your child's teacher. You need to submit an award release form to the teacher so that your child's name can appear here. We salute the achievements of our fine students and are proud of their accomplishments.

Honor Roll
To be eligible for the Honor Roll students must receive four grades of "ES" and only one grade of "MS" in the five core academic subject areas. Students can not receive a grade of "FS" in any special subject. Honor Roll ribbons are presented to students at the awards assembly held each quarter. Congratulations to these fine students!

Perfect Attendance
Students in the sixth grade who are present everyday of the quarter with no unexcused tardies or early checkouts receive the 6th Grade Perfect Attendance Award . Congratulations to these excellent students who have demonstrated their love of learning by attending school everyday of the quarter. Perfect attendance certificates are presented to students in their homeroom classroom. Congratulations to these fine students!

Academic Achievement Award

A.R.T. Citizenship Award
Students in the sixth grade receive awards in citizenship for Acting Safely, Respecting Others, and Taking Responsibility. Teachers select up to six students who have displayed these qualities during the grading period. Citizenship Certificates are presented to students at the awards assembly held each quarter. Congratulations to these fine students!

Music and PE Awards
Students in the sixth grade receive awards in Music and Physical Education. The Music and Physical Education teachers select students who have displayed the qualities of improvement or success in Music and PE during the grading period. Award Certificates are presented to students at the awards assembly held each quarter. Congratulations to these fine students!

Mr. Moore's Class Awards
Mr. Moore honors students with awards for academic achievement and for utilizing the LifeSkills in his class during the quarter. The LifeSkills are responsibility, courage, effort, problem solving, caring, sense of humor, friendship, initiative, organization, & perseverance. Certificates are presented by Mr. Moore in the classroom at the end of the quarter. Congratulations to the winners of these awards!
