Sixth Grade Science Fair

DeGrazia 6th Grade Science FairThe 6th grade provides a four week unit of study on the scientific method. The 6th grade students each select a question which they investigate and came up with a hypothesis related to their question. Students design a plan to test their hypothesis and conduct a scientific investigation. Students make data collection plans to measure and record results. Students present the results of their investigations at the annual DeGrazia Science Fair held in the school cafeteria. Teachers, judges, and parents have been very impressed with the quality of the work of all of our students. The winning projects  represent our school in the Annual Southern Arizona Regional Science Fair hosted by the University of Arizona. A number of projects entered in the regional science fairs in past years have won awards including several first place winners. One project has been nominated for the screening round for the National Science Fair. Congratulations to both our local science fair winners and the regional science fair winners.
