CTE Update
Pathways to Prosperity - A study conducted by the Harvard Graduate School of Education regarding the importance of Career and Technical Education for today’s students.

Vision
To ensure a dynamic workforce by fully developing every student's career and academic potential.

Mission
To prepare Arizona students for workplace success and continuous learning.

Overview
Career and Technical Education (CTE) Career Preparation programs offer a sequence of courses to students in grades 9-12, that prepares them for a direction to higher education and a career path.

The programs are supervised by the Career and Technical Education Unit of the Arizona Department of Education. A significant component of the program's evaluation CTE students' performance on the AIMS (Arizona's Instrument to Measure Standards) test; therefore, academics are a critical piece of the curriculum.

At the end of the sequence of courses students take an industry-certified assessment to determine success in the program.
