    With a graduation rate higher than state average, the District provides educational opportunities for students at 18 schools as well as online distance learning, a parent-partnered home schooling program, summer school, alternative settings, and Career and Technical programs.

    Students are offered a variety of Advanced Placement and Dual Enrollment courses designed to engage students at all academic levels.

    Science Students with Teacher Career academy choices allow high school students to select areas of academic interest that motivate learning and encourage exploration.

    National Blue Ribbon School Award Career and Technical Education  
    Award winning Career and Technical Education programs prepare students to enter the workforce with the academic and career skills needed to compete successfully in the job market. Career and Technical Education programs offer a sequence of courses to students in grades 9-12. Through the District’s Career and Technical Education programs and a partnership with the Pima County Joint Technical Education District, students are offered instruction in Culinary Arts, Early Childhood Education, Automotive Technology, Engineering, Marketing, Sports Medicine, Welding Technology, Biotechnology, Dental Assisting, Software and Game Design, and many more career fields. 

    Early learning 
    Students exposed to preschool and full day kindergarten have greater success in learning essential early academic skills. Aligned with Arizona academic standards, the District provides a free full day kindergarten program at all elementary schools. The program is developmentally and individually appropriate in addressing cognitive, social, emotional, and physical areas of development. The District also provides licensed preschool learning facilities at several elementary schools.

    Gifted and Special Education 
    A wide continuum of services covering all areas of exceptionality, within the least restrictive environment, is available for students in grades K-12. Students receiving special education are supported by a team of professionals who develop individual education program goals and provide related services such as psychological testing, speech pathology, and occupational and physical therapy aligned to individualized need. The District also provides an enriching preschool program for ages 3-5 years. Students who qualify for the Gifted Program receive differentiated general education instruction to meet unique needs and a one day/week pull out service. All instruction is aligned with state standards.

    Health Care Students Federal programs 
    The District provides a variety of resources and programs to support the academic needs of eligible Title I, English Language Learner, Migrant, and Native American students. Supplemental programs consist of instructional services which assist in achieving the Arizona academic standards.

    Student Services 
    Marana students are offered a K-12 comprehensive competency based school counseling program promoting academic achievement, personal/social development, and career and college readiness. Fulltime Master level school counselors are located at all schools. Family Resource Centers enhance student and family support through the delivery of case management and referrals, crisis response, community and volunteer outreach, prevention, and intervention services.

    Extended learning 
    The District offers a secure, supervised, learning and playing experience which enhances the quality of the time a child spends away from home. Enrichment Centers are available at all elementary schools and at designated schools during school breaks. Children work in small groups on age appropriate activities designed to provide academic support, and social growth and development.

    Marana Governing Board
    A five-member Governing Board represents the community is exercising local control of public education. Members meet on a semimonthly basis to support the District's commitment to excellence in academics and students' personal achievements.
