    Meet Mrs. Martin - Email

I am the librarian at Coyote Trail and I teach library lessons, plan and host several family literacy events every year, bring in outside speakers, presenters, and authors, organize an after school reading club, and have worked with other school librarians to collect donations and raise funds that support all Marana school libraries. I have a Masters Degree in Information Resources and Library Science, a Bachelors Degree in Counseling, and a post-bac Elementary Educ. Certification.

I am a member of Coyote Trail because I love to support our students in becoming life long readers, competent researchers, able to read and understand literature, and be information literate across all subject areas. By teaching literature-rich lessons I get the privilege of exposing students to wonderful stories, authors, illustrators, and whole new worlds that may be exciting and inspirational to them.

I have been at Coyote Trail since 2009. I was born in New Jersey but have been happily living here in the Sonoran Desert since 1975. I love hiking, reading, writing stories, watching movies, and enjoying my husband’s music (Bill plays guitar and sings in several different bands professionally), and my son Gabriel’s music (he is in a youth mariachi band).
