I am honored to be the leader of our brand new, first of its kind, Dove Mountain CSTEM K-8 School! Our team of educators and staff are committed to learning and student academic achievement! Many of our staff members have worked together over several years and are passionate about serving students and community. I have had the honor to serve in the field of education for twenty-three years and I look forward to many more years inspiring and empowering students to be all that they can be. I absolutely love coming to work and being a Jaguar!

I have been a principal, teacher, instructional support leader, athletic coach, and associate principal. In my spare time, I have refereed middle school through college basketball and I currently referee high school basketball. I completed my undergraduate degree at California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly) in San Luis Obispo, California. I am also a very proud Wildcat fan and received my Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from the University of Arizona.

I am married to a wonderful husband, Joe, who is a very involved father of three girls. Our oldest is entering fifth grade and our twins will be entering third grade, so you will likely see my husband around campus volunteering. As an educator and parent, I greatly value and appreciate parent involvement. Our partnership is essential for achieving student success. 

To help all students achieve their full potential, they must be provided with a safe, caring, and academically focused environment. Our school uses Positive Behavioral Intervention and Support (PBIS) to assist students in making quality decisions each day. Our expectations are that students show their Jag SWAG every day as they show pride, make wise choices, are always kind and give respect. Individual students, as well as entire classrooms, will be recognized for their excellent behavior and attendance on a regular basis as both of these elements are necessary to create a culture of learning.
