    Mission Statement: The mission of the Marana Unified Elementary School counseling program is to provide equitable access to data-informed services that help all students achieve their full potential. We intentionally create a safe environment, build relationships, collaborate with stakeholders, and advocate for students. We close achievement/opportunity gaps and deliver services that promote positive academic, career and social/emotional development. 

About Our Counselor

  • Rachel JaffeMrs. Jaffe has been the Title One Counselor at Estes since the end of 2018, and is excited to join the Jaguar family beginning in the 2023-24 school year. She spent 10 years in the U.S. Air Force doing intelligence analysis. During this time, She received her B.A. from AMU in Criminal Justice in 2008, as well as an M.A. from AMU in Criminal Justice and Behavior Analysis. Upon leaving the military, she moved back to Arizona to attend Grand Canyon University, where she received her M.S. in Professional Counseling in 2017. 

    Before coming to MUSD, Mrs. Jaffe worked as an inpatient therapist, as well as outpatient, in the Tucson area. She is passionate about helping those in need of behavioral health care, and providing trauma-informed care. When she isn’t working at helping others, she spends time with her husband and three kids, and loves to travel in and out of the country.
