MUSD is incredibly proud of our teachers and staff who have tirelessly adapted to this challenging situation to provide the best education for our students.

MUSD’s response to the COVID pandemic is:

    • Focused on safety and providing families with a choice for their student’s education.
    • Based on current data and determined with guidance and close collaboration with Pima County Health Department.
    • Inspired by the District's Five Commitments of strong relationships, equity, collaboration, deeper learning, and innovation.
    • Developed with input from parents/guardians and school-based parent organizations, Marana Education Association and teacher leaders, Marana Education Support Professionals, and employees.
    • Guided by MUSD's five principles

MUSD continues to monitor the health metrics and recommendations as well as evaluating unique circumstances at each school site with regards to active COVID cases. It is MUSD's commitment to offer every student a safe, high-quality learning experience with a focus on school connectedness while providing additional services and supports to students and families.

  • NOTICE: The conditions surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic are continually evolving and the unpredictability of this virus requires MUSD to remain flexible and ready to make changes in our plan. MUSD's Safe & Thoughtful Return to School plan and Safety Protocol are consistently evaluated to adapt to the continuing trends of the COVID-19 virus, guided by local, state, and national authorities. MUSD thanks you for your continued patience, support, and understanding through this process.
