PTO Board Position Descriptions

    • President
      • Shall be a liaison between teacher representatives, parents, and principal, delegates a member of the Executive board to attend any community or school District meeting at which a subject of concern to the Estes community is scheduled to be brought up. 
      • Set the agenda of all meetings and presides over all Estes P.T.O. meetings and functions.
    • Vice President
      • Assumes the President’s duties in the absence of the President. The Vice-President will also be familiar with the Bylaws to assure that the Estes PTO follows them. 
      • Shall head the nominating committee.
    • Secretary
      • Shall record and issue the minutes of each meeting of the Organization and the Executive Board. This shall include notices, agendas, sign-in sheets and material distributed. The minutes shall be written up and available to the general membership in the school office. The Secretary shall also maintain a copy of the Bylaws, maintain a low of all amendments and/or changes to these Bylaws, and ensure that a current copy of the Bylaws is on file in the Principal’s office.
    • Treasurer
      • Records and pays all expenditures approved by the Organization, maintains the Organization’s financial records, manages the Organization’s bank account (s), submits financial reports at all meetings, oversees the money-collection aspect (if any) of all Organization activities, and submits any financial reports needed at the District level.
    • Fund-Raising Chairperson
      • Is responsible for researching and recommending fundraisers to be used throughout the school year; forming committees to chair each event; and assisting in the coordination and unification of fund raising between staff and P.T.O.
