Civics Standards Test

  • Flag

Enacted in 2017, Arizona was the first state to pass The American Civics Act, which requires students to pass a civics test based on the United States Immigration and Naturalization civics questions prior to graduating high school.

Since students are exposed to civics standards in middle school, 8th grade students are provided the opportunity to take this assessment at the end of their 8th grade school year.  Our high schools will identify any students who either haven’t passed it or never took the Civics test.
