    The office of Public Relations effectively plans, develops, manages, and directs the District’s comprehensive communications, public relations, and marketing programs aligned with the District’s mission, vision, and commitments.  

    The office is committed to transparency and to providing the highest quality service to all stakeholders with integrity and pride. Public Relations implements robust internal and external communication strategies and creative marketing campaigns dedicated to the promotion of the organization’s vision, academics, programs, and activities. 

    The District views communication with all stakeholders a priority and takes care in the provision of timely, accurate information. The Office oversees various communication platforms ensuring accuracy, promotion of message, information sharing, and consistency in the organization's brand and image. Information is consistently shared through email, text, phone, social media channels, Websites, and the District’s Mobile App. 

    The media is considered valuable partners in communicating information to both District stakeholders and the general public; to that end, Public Relations responds to media inquirers and coordinates release of information to ensure accurate, consistent, timely and easy-to-understand information is disseminated. 

    Additionally, the office is responsible for archiving, management, and support of 34 District and school-based social media channels with 24,000+/- followers across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube; content distribution and system administration for the District website and 17 school sub-sites; website accessibility compliance per Title III of the ADA; mass communication; Mobile App and Google Play / Apple developer accounts; Google business listings; SEO strategies & analytics; and promotional efforts through various print outlets and broadcast institutions.  

    The Public Relations office strives to ensure that the MUSD website is accessible to all individuals, regardless of hardware, software, language, location, or ability. The District proudly maintains an 91.1 SiteImprove accessibility score, 16.9% above the industry standard, and a quality assurance score of 99.0.
