Counseling Groups

  • Small groups are offered for students to help improve their school success. They meet once a week for 30 minutes for approximately 6 weeks.  Students may have one or more of these concerns which are interfering with their ability to learn:

    • school attitudes and behaviors
    • peer relationships
    • study skills
    • death of a family member or friend
    • family separation (divorce/deployment/prison, etc.)
    • severe stress
    • test anxiety

The groups are called Goal Groups because students set goals for their own improvement and monitor their progress towards their goals.
