Vision Statement
Health Services strives to keep all students in school by removing health barriers, freeing the path to academic and personal excellence.
Mission StatementThe Marana Unified School District Health Services, in collaboration with parents, medical community, and staff will promote wellness and safety for all students. Provisions of acute care, individual health plans, staff trainings, and teacher resources will assist the removal of health barriers leading to academic and personal excellence.
If your child requires any special care at school, please call or visit the school health office. Every school has a health assistant who will put you in touch with the assigned school nurse. Secondary schools have a registered nurse with a health assistant on site every day. Any previous or new health conditions for which your child may require care should be shared with the school health office for the child's support and safety while at school. Please review above links for access to health information, on line resources, immunizations and illness or injury guidelines. Encourage your child to cover all coughs and sneezes – wash hands frequently and get yearly flu shots for everyone in the family. Prevention is the best defense against the spread of illness.
