Beginning Drama

  • Drama students with outstretched armsWelcome to Beginning Drama. Drama is a performing art and in-class performances are required.  Acting lessons on all levels and are appropriate for all students. Students are allowed to express themselves in an open forum. They experience decision-making in a safe environment.  Everyone has FUN! This is a one-semester course. 

    Students participate in pantomime, voice, improvisation, character development, Team building.  

    Students can volunteer to participate in a theatrical presentation each semester.  Students have the opportunity to explore various characters through acting and are exposed to history via period pieces (i.e. Shakespeare).  Students learn how to work together in a group to create a theatrical production, and to take responsibility, as well as follow through with a commitment.
