After any excused absence, the student is responsible for initiating contact with his/her teachers to obtain the make-up assignments. The student will have as many days to complete the assignment(s) as the absence, plus one.
If an absence is not excused within 24 hours, make-up work may not be allowed. If a student has been suspended for five or more days the parent/guardian can call the Associate Principal’s office to request assignments. If the student is going to miss more than 3 days of classes, advance request for assignments should be made by providing such a request in writing. Forms are available in the Attendance Office. Most teachers are happy to accommodate student’s requests provided they are given enough notice. This work, which is provided in advance, will be due the day the student returns.
