He says, “The boys’ tennis team has the most positive, honorable, hard-working, kindest athletes in the school. It is a pleasure to get to know these young men on and off the court and to see them grow as athletes, students, and as men of character.” He states that his father is the most influential person in his life because he taught him the virtue of good, honest work. He also said he hopes that his players learn to work hard and do their best to win without every compromising their character. He says, “I hope my players work hard to improve as tennis players but more importantly work hard to support their teammates, our program, their school, and their community.”

They finished 4th in the state at one point, 3rd in the CDO classic, and have been the Badger Classic Champions four times. Coach Corona says the think he loves most about coaching is “making connections with my athletes and helping them make their way through high school and watching them do great things after they leave the program.” He says the most influential person in his life was Len Anderson, who was his high school baseball coach. He said, “He has been a part of my life for decades and continues to be a wonderful friend and mentor.” The one thing he hopes his players remember is “that hard work and commitment can get you a long way in life. I want them to remember how much I care about them and their successes.”

Camron Dozier is currently the Head Boys & Girls Track and Field Coach, as well as a Teacher, at Marana High School. Coach Dozier has also functioned as both the Girls Basketball Head Coach, and the Boys Golf Head Coach, during his 16 years with the District. Coach Dozier has shared that his favorite part of coaching is seeing the kids put in so much effort and accomplishing things that they themselves may not have thought possible. He said, "You are a team and you are fighting together to accomplish a goal – that is a cool feeling. It makes the long hours and personal sacrifices worth it when you can see your impact on a kids life." Coach also works hard to be a positive role model and coach for his students. "Athletics has opened many doors for me – I was fortunate to have great coaches when I was in high school. Trying to be the best coach I can be, helping to be a positive role model to the athletes on my teams, I feel like I am paying homage to my coaches."

- As a team, they maintain a 72.9 winning percentage
- They have over 125 dual meet wins
- Numerous tournament team placings
- 6 Tournament Team Championships
- 4 Top 10 finishes at State
- 41 State qualifiers
- 24 State medalists
- 6 State Finalists
- 1 State Champion
When asked what he likes most about coaching, Coach Hiley responded, “Working with young men and women and watching them do more than they thought they were capable of. Also, watching my athletes become productive adults, parents, and professionals in their chosen field.”
He was also asked who the most influential person in his life has been. He stated, “My parents. My father would not accept excuses for not giving 100% of yourself to whatever you committed to. My father also reminded me to never take myself too seriously – have fun and enjoy people. My mother as she has led by example – take care of others in front of yourself. If you have been around my team you already know, she is still at every match, every tournament and is always 100% positive.”
Parting wisdom he hopes his players will remember: “If you care more about others than yourself, you will be very successful in life.”

Lori Honea - Head Girls’ Tennis Coach
Lori Honea has been the Head Girls’ Tennis Coach for 14 years. Additionally, she was the tennis assistant for 1 year and a girls’ basketball assistant for 17 years. She loves seeing them fight through adversity and not give up. As a coach, she enjoys teaching them to be confident and strong and get them performance ready. She cites her husband, Martin Honea, as the most influential person in her life. She says he has taught her to be confident, strategies to be successful in relating with athletes, and shown her times to be calm and times to be enthusiastic. Tory Perez - Head Girls’ Varsity Basketball Coach
Tory Perez is in now in his second year as the Head Girls’ Varsity Basketball Coach. Before that, he was the JV head coach at Marana High School for three years. Some of his most valued accomplishments are “when a student-athlete or parent says thank you or tells me they appreciate what I am doing.” He says he is proud of his athletes for constantly getting better, stronger, faster, and building their IQ of the game. When asked what he loves most about coaching he said, “Seeing a group of individuals become a team in a short period of time and helping them realize we must all set goals and strive for them.” When he was asked who the most influential person in his life was he said, “My mom. She taught me that no matter what obstacles or challenges that life throws at us, with hard work and staying positive anyone can be successful.” One thing that he hopes his athletes will always remember is to set high goals, strive for those goals, hold themselves accountable when they make mistakes and most importantly to never settle and always try to do the best at whatever they are doing.
