School Meals To Go

  • School Meals To Go begins Wednesday, August 5, 2020 for all enrolled students. 

     

    Students may stop by a school or along a bus route, Monday – Friday, to receive a hot lunch and a breakfast meal to go for the following morning. 

     

    The District's food service program is regulated by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the Arizona Department of Education which does not allow for MUSD's Grab & Go free meal program to continue past August 4. Beginning August 5, the District is required to charge meals to the student’s meal account according to the student’s Free/Reduced or Paid eligibility.

    • Student required to be enrolled in the Marana Unified School District.
    • Student required to be in attendance for Remote Learning instruction on the day of receiving school meal.
    • Meals are charged to the student’s meal account according to the student’s Free/Reduced or Paid eligibility.  
    • Meals offered Monday-Friday, following the school calendar (excluding holidays). 
    • Students DO NOT need to be present to take a meal as long as student/parent/guardian have their District issued DASH CARD present at the time of meal pick-up.
      • Stop by your student's school or preferred bus stop to pick up meals and receive Dash Card. See details below.

    • Adult meals are not available.

    DASH CARD

    It's easy and convenient! 

     

    1. The first visit, stop by your school or preferred bus stop, pick up your meals, and order your Dash Card.
    2. The second visit, stop by your school or preferred bus stop, pick up your meals, and receive your Dash Card.
    3. After that, bring your Dash Card each time you stop by to pick up your nutritious and delicious meals.   

     

    Students do not need to be present for meal pickup.

     

    Student/parent/guardian may pick up meals for all eligible students in their household.

    School Locations  

    Students and/or parents/guardians may come to their pre-selected school location for a School Meal To Go hot lunch and receive a breakfast meal to go for the following morning.

     

    Monday – Friday from 11:00am - 12:00pm (excluding holidays)

     

    There is no need to park the car! Families can drive up to the front of the school and a food service staff will provide meals for each enrolled student in the car. If walking to a school, remember to wait in line with the proper social distancing of 6 feet between one another while picking-up meals.

     

    DASH CARD must be presented at the time of meal pick-up. Students DO NOT need to be present. Student/parent/guardian may pick up meals for all eligible students in their household from their pre-selected location.

    Bus Routes 

    Apple & Orange Students and/or parents/guardians may stop by their pre-selected bus route to pick-up their School Meal To Go hot lunch and receive a breakfast meal to go for the following morning.

     

    Monday – Friday from 10:30am - 12:30pm. Times are approximate and may vary by a few minutes to ensure all students are served at each location.

     

    DASH CARD must be presented at the time of meal pick-up. Students DO NOT need to be present. Student/parent/guardian may pick up meals for all eligible students in their household from their pre-selected bus route. 

     

    Everyone is reminded to practice the recommended social distancing of 6 feet between one another while at the bus stop to receive meals.

     

    Bus Locations & Times:

    Buses are traveling to residential areas with a high density of children who traditionally receive meal benefits during the school year, specifically within the Butterfield, Estes, Picture Rocks, and Roadrunner Elementary school areas. View the list of times and bus stops to find a location convenient for you. 

     

    Eligibility 

    School meals will be charged to the student’s meal account according to the student’s Free/Reduced or Paid eligibility.

     

    Free or Reduced Price Meal applications must be completed each school year, applications from last school year will expire on September 17, 2020. Apply Now.

     

    Breakfast and lunch will be priced as follows:

     

    Elementary Schools:
    Breakfast: $1.00 (No cost for schools participating in the Breakfast in Classroom Program)
    Lunch: $2.75

     

    K-8 Schools:
    Breakfast K-8: $1.00
    Lunch K-6: $2.75
    Lunch 7-8: $2.90

     

    Middle Schools (7-8):
    Breakfast: $1.00 (No cost for schools participating in the Breakfast in Classroom Program)
    Lunch: $2.90

     

    High Schools (9-12):
    Breakfast: $1.25
    Lunch: $3.00

     

    ALL SCHOOLS - Reduced Price Meals:
    Breakfast: $0.00
    Lunch: $0.40

     

    No cash accepted at the time of meal pickup. Deposits can be made:

    • Online through student’s meal account
