Meet the K-5 School Counselor - Mrs. Attebery

  • Shari Attebery DMK8 School Counselors help students learn to be resilient problem-solvers who take care of each other!


    Mrs. Attebery earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Family and Consumer Resources with a focus in Child Development from the University of Arizona.  Her Master of Arts degree in Counseling with a focus in School Counseling was earned from Chapman University. Mrs. Attebery is a National Certified Counselor and she is the proud recipient of the Young Achievers Award from the University of Arizona, College of Agriculture. Mrs. Attebery was named the Arizona Elementary School Counselor of the Year 2010 and received the Emerging Professional Award from The Council of Alumni & Friends of the Norton School of Family & Consumer Sciences of the University of Arizona. She is also a team leader for the Marana Unified School District Crisis Team and certified QPR trainer.  Mrs. Attebery is a member of the Arizona School Counselors Association and the American School Counselors Association.


     Mrs. Attebery is proud to be a part of the Marana Unified School District School Counselors since 2004. She is a dedicated advocate for all children, and believes that children should be respected and valued as individuals.  Mrs. Attebery gives students the opportunity to learn valuable life skills and believes that children can learn to solve their own problems and overcome challenges when given guidance and understanding.
