District-wide 2023-24 ADE Letter Grades

The Arizona Department of Education (ADE) released its 2023-24 School Letter Grades on October 25, 2024. Marana Unified School District had exceptional results, doubling its number of A-rated schools, from 5 to 10 in one year, the most A-rated schools in MUSD’s history!

The state’s “Accountability System” is designed to empower schools to achieve and increase student success by providing districts and schools with feedback on areas of strength and areas that may need additional focus and enrichment. The grades measure the following factors:

  • Student growth from year to year
  • Proficiency in statewide assessments
  • English language proficiency and growth
  • Preparedness for high school among elementary students
  • Preparedness for post-secondary settings among high school students
  • High school graduation rates

“We know that our students and schools are much more than a simple letter grade or number, but we are incredibly proud of the impressive gains that have occurred. This really is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our educators and students,” said Dr. Dan Streeter, superintendent.
