Mrs. Kauffman, principal of Marana High School, embodies the essence of the award - transforming student outcomes, strengthening school culture, and expanding leadership opportunities for teachers and staff.

Marana High School has been recognized by The Arizona Interscholastic Association (AIA) with the prestigious 6A Sportsmanship Award of the Year, honoring the high school’s commitment to character, integrity, respect, and excellence in athletics.

Students at Mountain View High School received national recognition for their outstanding performance on the 2026 National Spanish Exam (NSE).

Following months of preparation and hard work, students showcased excellence in livestock competitions, showmanship, leadership events, and herdsmanship, earning top honors at the 2026 Pima County Fair!

The event celebrated the 151 students who were awarded $11.1 million in scholarships, along with the MHS Top Ten, Military enlistments, collegiate athletes, CTE National Honor Society, plus other awardees.

1,083 seniors will graduate from Marana High, Mountain View High, MCAT High, and Marana Vista Academy. Seniors earned Industry Certifications, an incredible $20M scholarships, and committed to colleges, the military, and service abroad.

Named by the National Association of Elementary School Principals, Gladden Farms Elementary is one of 57 schools nationwide to receive this recognition in the award’s inaugural year.

Mountain View High School proudly hosted the Class of 2026 Honors Conclave, a prestigious evening dedicated to recognizing the extraordinary achievements of this year’s graduating seniors.

Mrs. Angela Gonzales and sixth-grade student Nevaeh Larson of Rattlesnake Ridge Elementary School were named as recipients of the Southern Arizona Education Council Award, recognizing their outstanding impact on their school community.

Mrs. Lauren Lundeberg, Kindergarten teacher at Rattlesnake Ridge Elementary, has been named a Top 5 finalist for the 2027 Arizona Teacher of the Year, a prestigious honor presented annually by the Arizona Educational Foundation.

Meg Maxwell has been recognized with the Kindness Founder Award from Ben’s Bells Project, an honor that celebrates individuals who exemplify and promote intentional acts of kindness within their communities.

Mr. Kevin Davis, a seventh-grade science teacher at Twin Peaks K-8, was honored during Teacher Appreciation Week by Concord Construction for his outstanding impact in the classroom.

Emiliano Manzo, senior, and Andrew Schmidt, sophomore, captured the Tennis Division II Doubles State Championship title.

Gladden Farms Elementary Before and After School LEAP program and Preschool has earned its first 5-star rating from Quality First, Arizona’s top rating for early childhood programs!

Marana High School Academic Decathlon students earned national recognition and made an impressive debut with four students placing in third or higher while competing at the U.S. Academic Decathlon National Tournament in Garden Grove, California.
