Department Overview
MUSD Health Services department is comprised of dedicated Registered Nurses and Health Assistants committed to promoting wellness, keeping students healthy and ready to learn. Each health office has an assigned Registered Nurse and is staffed by a full-time health assistant, trained in CPR, first aid, and office management. The health office provides many services to students including, first aid care, responding to medical emergencies, administering prescribed medications, and performing required health screenings and immunization management.
If your child has specific health concerns or requires any special care at school, please call or visit the school health office. The school health office will work closely with you and your child’s medical provider in providing the best care to meet the individual medical needs of your child. Any previous or new health conditions and diagnoses should be shared with the school health office for the child's support and safety while at school. Encourage your child to cover all coughs and sneezes – wash hands frequently and get yearly flu shots for everyone in the family. Prevention is the best defense against the spread of illness.
