Department Overview
The department currently supports a vast wireless and network infrastructure. Additionally, the department supports various pieces of classroom technology, such as projectors, document cameras, Chromebooks, and interactive flat panels. The Technology Department also provides centralized consulting, training, and support for technology initiatives throughout the District.
The Technology Department supports several enterprise-wide software applications, including but not limited to financial software, student information systems, food services, transportation, human resources software, data warehouse, content filters, anti-virus/malware software, and multiple cloud solutions. The Technology Department also manages the District’s Google environment for staff and students.
The Technology Department is responsible for data reporting to the state (AzEDS) for various functions such as ADM, ADA, SPED, Title I/II/III/IV, State & Federal Programing. The accuracy of this data directly impacts the funding the District receives from both state and federal sources. An additional responsibility of the Technology Department is high-stakes testing. A member of the department serves as the District Test Coordinator. This individual ensures that student testing goes smoothly and that the District is in compliance with all rules and regulations.
