Meet the Principal - Colleen Frederick
Dear Estes Families,
I am deeply honored to be a member of this extraordinary community, rich in traditions and values. Having been a part of Estes since 2000, I have cherished this incredible journey as a parent, teacher, Associate Principal, and now Principal. I believe there is no better place to be for our children’s future than the Marana Unified School District. We are a growing community that pride ourselves in the relationships we build and the deep connection to challenging, educational experiences!
Our incredible school team is committed to nurturing the hearts and minds of our students every day! When your child enters our campus, you will notice staff that embrace a safe, devoted, and highly engaged learning environment. Our school uses Positive Behavioral Intervention and Support (PBIS) to encourage our students in making successful decisions each day. Our expectations are to be Safe, Respectful, and Responsible. We make it a point to celebrate students and classrooms that demonstrate outstanding citizenship, leadership, and learning.
The treasured partnerships between home, school, and community are what make Estes a special place to be! Together we can achieve student success and we welcome family participation to support us in this endeavor. Please consider the multiple volunteer opportunities available such as our parent teacher organization (PTO), Watch DOGS (Dads of Great Students), playground, cafeteria, classroom, or library. We also encourage you to communicate with us at any time and refer to our website for a variety of information. We are a bustling campus and it is often your greatest resource for the most up-to-date information!
When I am not with our students and staff, I’m enjoying my time with my husband, Mike, a teacher at Marana High School. We have three grown children and two beautiful grandchildren. Family time, travel, sports, and life-long learning are huge commitments of ours!
It is with the greatest of Eagle Pride that I serve you and your child!
Soaring to Success,
Mrs. Colleen Frederick, PrincipalPhone: (520) 682-4738
