Meet the Principal - Andrea Divijak

  • Andrea Divijak, Principal I am honored to be part of the Quail Run community and be a part of a team that is committed to learning and student academic achievement! Our staff has established a tradition of excellence in serving students and community for twenty-two years and I look forward to future years of this continued tradition of inspiring students each and every day. I absolutely love coming to work and working with our fabulous Quasars!

I would like to let you know a little bit about myself. I am in my twentieth year in education in a variety of roles. I have been a teacher, instructional support leader, athletic coach, and associate principal. In my spare time, I have refereed middle school through college basketball and I currently referee high school basketball. I completed my undergraduate degree at California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly) in San Luis Obispo, California. I am also a very proud Wildcat fan and received my Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from the University of Arizona.

I am married to a wonderful husband, Joe, who is a very involved father of three girls. Our oldest is entering second grade and our twins will be entering kindergarten at Quail Run this year, so you will likely see my husband around campus volunteering. As an educator and parent, I greatly value and appreciate parent involvement. Our partnership is essential for achieving student success.

To help all students achieve their full potential, they must be provided with a safe, caring, and academically focused environment that I know is already present at Quail Run Elementary. Our school uses Positive Behavioral Intervention and Support (PBIS) to assist students in making quality decisions each day. Our expectations are that students are Proud, Prepared, Polite and Productive. Individual students, as well as entire classrooms, will be recognized for their excellent behavior and attendance on a regular basis as both of these elements are necessary to create a culture of learning.

We have the 21st Century Community Learning Center (21st CCLC) grant which provides students with the opportunity to participate in free before and after school classes. We provide a variety of classes each semester in order for students to be exposed to additional learning outside of the school day in reading, the arts, STEM, sports, and much more. Activity busses are provided after these classes on Monday through Thursday at 3:00pm.

Let’s have a great year! Please do not hesitate to contact me at any time if you have any questions or concerns.
