WHAT do we do and WHY we do it!

  • WHAT WE (We are you and you are us!) DO:  The PTO's mission is to create a close relationship between home and school by providing ALL parents and parent-figures an opportunity to become involved.

    • Fundraise
      • Our big fundraiser is the APEX Fun Run in January.  More information to come!  Last year this fundraiser earned over $10,000 and we bought new playground equipment.
      • Restaurant Nights
    • Where does the money go?
      • Teacher reimbursements/Grade level reimbursements

      • Family Events
      • Library
      • Teacher/staff hospitality

    • Meetings
      • First Tuesdays of the month in the Ironwood Library at either 2:15 pm or 6 pm.

        • Meet other parents, caregivers, teachers, and staff
        • Ways to volunteer

    WHY WE DO IT:  It takes a village, right?  We believe we could all do a little bit to make our Ironwood community the best it can be.  We LOVE our kids and we LOVE Ironwood.  Let us know if you’d like to help a little or a lotta!  We need you!  You are us and we are you.

    • Bloomz is an app many teachers at Ironwood use for communication.  Most of you will "enroll" for your child's class.  Start the process now by downloading the app and then connecting with Ironwood PTO on Bloomz!  Here's how:
      • New Bloomz Member:
        • Download the "Bloomz" app from the AppStore/PlayStore and click "Create Account".  If browser, go to bloomz.com and click on "Join Bloomz"
        • In the text box, enter 5ZCUAT
        • Create your account
      • Existing Bloomz Member:
        • Login to your Bloomz account
        • Click "+Add Class/Group" on the left navigation
        • In the text box, enter 5ZCUAT and click next
    • Visit the Ironwood Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) Facebook Page 
    • Paw Print: Weekly email from the Principal, Mr. Johnson.  There will be a PTO update at the bottom and PTO events on the calendar on the left.  Look for us!
