Meet the Associate Principal - David Romero
David Romero is a native Tucsonan and earned his B.S. in Secondary Education from the University of Arizona and M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University. Mr. Romero is part of the MUSD community both professionally and personally. His wife is a district teacher and his children attend MUSD schools.
David comes to us from Coyote Trail Elementary, where he served as the Assistant Principal the past two years. Mr. Romero’s educational journey started as a high school math teacher in the Sunnyside school district. After six years in SUSD, he moved to MUSD in 2005 and enjoyed eight years at Mt. View, seven as a math teacher and one year as an interventionist. In addition to his classroom experience, David has worked closely with the school’s P.B.I.S. (Safe and Supportive Schools) team and participated as a member of MUSD’s Curriculum Management Team.
Sports have always been a passion for Mr. Romero, and he spent quite a few years as a high school football, track, and golf coach. Much of his free time is supporting his children with their love of sports and the arts.
