Meet the Associate Principal - David Romero

  • David RomeroDavid Romero is a native Tucsonan and earned his B.S. in Secondary Education from the University of Arizona and M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University. Mr. Romero spent his first six years teaching high school math in the Sunnyside School District and started with Marana Unified School District in 2005.  He served as an administrator at Tortolita Middle School and Coyote Trail Elementary, and math teacher and interventionist at Mountain View High School. Mr. Romero is part of the MUSD community both professionally and personally. His wife is a district educator supporting our teachers and both his children are MUSD students.   

    Throughout Mr. Romero’s career, he has been part of school and district teams that have focused in the areas of curriculum, instruction, school safety, and student behavior systems. Mr. Romero has been a long time participant of sports in southern Arizona as an athletic director, coach and parent. His involvement with extracurricular activities instills a belief that a strong sense of school pride increases with student participation in fine arts, clubs or sports. Mr. Romero encourages all students to find a class, club or team that will expand their school experience.
