Attendance is very important here at Marana High School, with the expectation that all students will attend classes promptly and on a regular basis to achieve the full educational benefit.  Absences should only occur when unavoidable.  School attendance is ultimately the responsibility of the student and his/her parents.

When your student is going to be late or absent please call our attendance line at  520-616-6400 ext. 5423.  Phone notification of a student’s absence by the parent/guardian is required the morning of the absence or a note stating the reason for the absence within 24 hours.  The attendance office will attempt to contact parents/guardian if the absence is not reported.  In all cases, students are responsible for making up missed work, tests, etc.  Absence is defined as a student’s non-attendance in an assigned class during the assigned period.

Ask for a doctor’s note when absent to attend a doctor, dentist, or any type of medical appointment.  (Doctor’s note can to brought in by parent, send with student, fax to 520-616-6426 or scanned and email to MHS attendance office

Please call us with any questions or concerns.

    Thank you.
