About Our Counselor
Mrs. Jaffe was raised in Tucson and received a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice with a focus in Area Intelligence Analysis from American Military University. She also has a Master's degree in Criminal Justice with a focus in Offender Behavior Analysis. Mrs. Jaffe completed both these degrees during her 10-year service as an Intelligence Analyst in the United States Air Force. Upon leaving the service, she moved back to Arizona and completed an additional Master's of Science in Professional Counseling at Grand Canyon University.
Mrs. Jaffe moved back to the Tucson area in 2015, where she then starting working as an outpatient therapist at a local non-profit organization. She has also worked in a level-1 psychiatric hospital with adults and children, as well as a position at the Crisis Response Center running the adult triage area. At the end of 2018, wanting to pursue her original passion to work with children, she accepted a position with MUSD as a Title One Counselor for Estes Elementary School. She remained in this position until 2022, when she received her certification from the State of Arizona to be a school counselor. She then remained at Estes for the 2022-2023 school year as their counselor. With a desire to expand and grow, Mrs. Jaffe is excited to be moving to DMK8 to work with secondary students. At DMK8, Mrs. Jaffe will be able to utilize her skill-set and passion to ensure students have a safe place to talk, small group counseling, as well as classroom lessons.
In her free time, Mrs. Jaffe loves to exercise, cook (or watch cooking shows!), as well as travel around the world with her husband and children.
