During & After COVID-19
MUSD is committed to providing families choice to make the decision that is best for their student’s learning. MUSD recognizes that these are unprecedented times and each student and family has different needs. The District also recognizes that parents have a choice when it comes to education, and MUSD parents have voiced a need for both classroom learning and online learning. Our goal is to resume in-person instruction when it is safe.
The Arizona Department of Health Services developed and released public health benchmarks to school districts for the safe return of in-person, teacher-led classroom instruction. Aligned with Governor Doug Ducey's “Arizona: Open for Learning” plan, and in conjunction with the public health benchmarks.
MUSD is offering Remote Learning beginning Jan 4, 2021, with the intent of returning to Hybrid Instruction on Monday, January 25, 2021.
When schools are able to resume five-day in-person instruction, MUSD plans to offer three high-quality learning models to provide choice for students and families:
- Classroom Learning - In-person instruction available when schools are able to resume in-person instruction
- Flexible Learning - available when schools are able to resume in-person instruction
- Full-Time Marana Distance Learning - available beginning August 5 through the 2020-2021 school year for grades 5-12.
