Astronomy Club

  • Are you interested in the stars, planets, and the mysteries of the night sky? Do you enjoy looking through telescopes or visiting the planetarium? Have you ever wanted to be able to name the stars and constellations that you see?

Rattlesnake Ridge’s Astronomy Club is for you. We work with amateur astronomers from the Tucson Amateur Astronomy Association to learn how to use telescopes (and our eyes) to identify objects in the night sky.  This year, we also get to partner with Project ASTRO!

We meet every other Wednesday after school, from 2 – 3 (sometimes later if we have a special speaker), and we have monthly Observing Nights for our club members and a parent with our TAAA astronomers.  There is no cost to join, and we meet in Ms. Carters's room C-305.

Looking forward to exploring the skies with you!
