21st Century After-school Grant Classes
Estes Elementary is proud to offer a variety of 21st Century Community Learning Grant classes at our school. CCLC’s offer amazing afterschool high-quality academic intervention and enrichment activities for students along with a broad array of youth development opportunities and parent engagement at no cost.
Afterschool enrichment and tutoring activities run from 2pm-3pm Monday-Thursday and 12:45-1:45pm on Fridays. We hold a variety of classes that will check off every box in helping our students thrive in a well-rounded educational environment.
Music and Arts (Treasure Chest, Art is Fun, Stitch in Time Sewing Classes, Estes Choir, Ukulele, Mariachi)
Athletic and physical health options (D’s of Dodgeball, Eagle Softball, Jumpzone Jump Team, Buddah Bellies, Tumbling Tumbleweeds, Backyard Games, Young Dribblers, Archery )
Student Service classes (S.O.S. Serve Our School Club, Student Council).
STEM Classes (Lego Coding Robotics, Estes Animators, STEM Builders, Science Olympiads, Estes Sprouts Garden Club )
Language and Educational Support Classes (Hola Spanish, Seuss’s Stars, Machado’s Masters of Math, Basaldua’s Math Ninja’s and partnerships with Title 1 Tutoring and MOWR)
Morning Enrichment and Homework Help classes go from 6:30-7:30 a.m. in the library M-F
The Soaring Eagle Academy afterschool program is funded by a 21st Century Community Learning Centers federal grant from the U.S. Department of Education and administered by the Arizona Department of Education. For more information visit the Arizona Department of Education website.
