Meet the Assistant Principal- Sydnee Friedman

  • Associate Principal Sydnee Friedman stands in front of Butterfield Elementary School I am honored to have the ability to be the assistant principal at Coyote Trail Elementary. I am blessed to have the opportunity to work with exceptional students, staff, and a wonderful community. Educators in Marana work diligently to increase academic success and empower students to go out into this world as leaders. I am eager to be a part of this community and to celebrate student growth and love of learning. Our collaborative efforts will impact our students and guide them to be well-rounded, educated citizens in our community.

I was born and raised in Tucson and had the great pleasure of attending Butterfield, in the Marana district, as a student. I continued my educational career at Tortolita Middle School and graduated from Mountain View High School. My experiences as a student in the Marana district fostered the decisions that led me to where I am today. Over the years, there have been many teachers that have touched my heart and encouraged me along the way.

I began my career as an educator at Butterfield in 2008. I taught fourth grade for two years and then chose to move to first grade. I taught first grade for six years and absolutely loved the true desire these young kiddos have for knowledge. I believe that as educators we have to build a high level of trust with our students and spend time building and nurturing supportive relationships. The best part of my job has been the amazing relationships I have built with my colleagues, students and parents.

I am looking forward to the journey we have ahead of us. It is going to be amazing!
