Free Full-Day Kindergarten (all elementaries)

The Marana Unified School District recognizes the significant importance of early education and its impact on future academic success. MUSD test results show students exposed to full-day kindergarten have greater success in learning essential early academic skills. 

MUSD's full-day kindergarten program is developmentally and individually appropriate in addressing cognitive, social, emotional and physical areas of development. The extra time for the full-day program allows teachers to challenge students, provide for differentiated instruction, and spend extra time on difficult concepts. 

Aligned with the Arizona Academic Standards, the program includes:  

• Language and Literacy Instruction
• Mathematics
• Exploration: Science Experiments, Social Studies Projects/Activities, and other standards-based activities to support instruction.
• Art, Music, and Physical Education. Classes are balanced, developmentally appropriate and standards-based. 
• Lunch and Recess 

Registration Information - New Kindergarten Students 

New students who will begin kindergarten in the upcoming academic year can register beginning in February.
