Caitlyn Kauffman Receives Spirit of Marana Award!

Congratulations to Mrs. Caitlyn Kauffman, principal of Marana High School, on receiving the 2026 Spirit of Marana Award!

Presented annually by MUSD Senior Staff, Mrs. Kauffman was honored at the Spirit of Marana year-end breakfast at the Ritz Carlton. She embodies everything this award stands for: transforming student outcomes, strengthening school culture, and creating meaningful leadership opportunities for teachers and staff.

Over the past four years, Marana High School has climbed from a low C to a high B+ in its State Letter Grade ranking, a testament to the hard work of the entire school community under her leadership. This year brought an even greater milestone, as Marana High School was named an A+ School of Excellence by the Arizona Educational Foundation, just in time for graduation.

Beyond the building, Mrs. Kauffman actively volunteers in the community and participates in Marana Education Association (MEA) negotiations.

Marana High School is better because of her, and this award reflects it. Congratulations, Mrs. Kauffman!
