Construction Progress and Updates on the New Personalized Learning High School
The building for the new Personalized Learning Program (formerly iChoose) is currently under renovation at 8333 N. Silverbell to convert the urgent care facility into a modern high school campus. Focused on personalized learning and expanded CTE offerings, the building will accommodate up to 400 students from our Marana and Mountain View High School campuses. It opens in Fall 2025.
Renovated by Chasse Building and designed by DLR Group, construction workers are framing and insulating walls, and completing underground electrical work. The building’s core areas include a dentistry and medical wing, collaborative spaces for study and work, Career and Tech Ed (CTE) spaces, and a commons space, which are beginning to take shape. Laura Goligoski, the program’s Personalized Learning Coordinator, is working with high school students and staff to finalize program offerings and electives.
“It was very important that our students have input into the electives and offerings. We also wanted to provide new courses that reflect today’s careers and job offerings in fields including health care, business, marketing, cybersecurity, and global communication,” said Laura.
Info Sessions About the Program
Informational sessions will be hosted with MUSD staff members in December 2024, and parents and the community in January. The application opens for students on February 5, 2025. Stay tuned for more information!
