Estes Elementary GEM Students Soar with Wright Flight Program!

Students in the GEM program led by GEM teacher Mrs. Tori Moreland at Estes Elementary School participated in the Wright Flight Program, traveling out of Ryan Airfield for an inspiring hands-on learning experience.
Opportunities like Wright Flight reflect Estes Elementary’s dedication to engaging students beyond the classroom and supporting their academic, social, and personal growth.
Wright Flight is a long-standing Tucson-based program dedicated to helping students build the foundations for a successful life. Recognizing that many Arizona students lack access to positive mentors and enriching experiences, the program uses the powerful history of aviation and aerospace to motivate and inspire students.
Founded in 1986 by Lt. Col. Robin Stoddard, USAF (ret.), an Air Force fighter pilot, Wright Flight, Inc. is named after the Wright Brothers and has been lifting children up for more than 30 years. Through mentorship, education, and the excitement of flight, the program encourages students to set goals, build confidence, and envision a brighter future.
