Mr. Davis, TPK8 Science Teacher, Recognized During Teacher Appreciation Week

Marana Unified School District is proud to congratulate Kevin Davis, a seventh-grade science teacher at Twin Peaks K–8 School, who was recently honored during Teacher Appreciation Week by Concord Construction for his outstanding impact in the classroom.
Selected from more than 1,000 nominations, Mr. Davis was one of 16 teachers to be honored. As part of the award, he received a $500 Amazon gift card to support his classroom, along with a $100 gift card in appreciation of his dedication and hard work.
As shared in his nomination, Mr. Davis once struggled in school and lacked confidence. After serving in the U.S. Air Force and later transitioning to civilian life, he faced significant challenges, including PTSD and depression. His path led him to continue his education at the University of Arizona, where he earned his Master’s of Education and began teaching at Twin Peaks K-8.
Mr. Davis brings that life experience into his classroom, creating a supportive and engaging environment where students feel encouraged to grow and succeed. He credits his students with inspiring him daily, sharing that teaching has given him a renewed sense of purpose and direction.
MUSD thanks Mr. Davis for his continued dedication to students, learning, and excellence in education!
