MUSD Governing Board Selects Benjamin Rorem as Principal for Marana Middle School

The Marana Unified School District announces the selection of Mr. Benjamin Rorem as Principal of Marana Middle School. 

The MUSD Governing Board members voted during their March 14 meeting in favor of hiring Mr. Rorem for the role, and he will assume the position effective July 1, 2024. Mrs. Lerona Dickson is currently the principal.

Mr. Rorem was selected following an extensive interview process with the Marana Middle School Principal Selection Committee, as well as a finalist interview with Dr. Lopez, Governing Board President.

Mr. Rorem received his Master of Arts in Teaching from Whitworth University and his Educational Leadership – Certificate in Principal Administration from University of Arizona. Mr. Rorem has served as the Associate Principal at Marana High School since 2016.

Dr. Dan Streeter, Superintendent of MUSD added, “Mr. Rorem possesses a talent for building strong and meaningful relationships with students, staff, and the community.  His intelligence, innovation, and dedication to the improvement of our educational system will make him the ideal candidate to guide Marana Middle School towards its next phase of achievement.”
