MUSD Hosts First Community CAFE!

MUSD Hosts First Community CAFE!
Attendees of community cafe

On Sept. 17, Dr. Streeter and the Marana Unified School District hosted its first Community CAFE for all 18 schools at the Highlands Grille. A Community CAFE - CAFE standing for Community and Family Engagement, benefits each school and the entire community.

Working with businesses, faith-based partners, parents, and community advocates, school leaders explored unique and productive ways to support each other, their students, and staff throughout the school year. Ideas brainstormed were relevant to each school and covered tackling absenteeism, restocking snack pantries, expanding mentorship programs, increasing event volunteers, expanding parent involvement, and more. Nearly 125 guests attended and each school walked away with ideas to enhance some aspect of their school.

Special thanks to Arizona Communications Experts, the event sponsor.
