Tucson Values Teachers announced finalists for the Raytheon Leaders in Education Award, and Marana Unified School District is proud of its three teacher finalists: Tawney Petiti, pre-K teacher at PAL Preschool, Lindsey Lara, pre-K teacher at PAL Preschool, and Danielle Schroeder, teacher at Mountain View High School.  The award recognizes and rewards Pima County teachers of grades PreK-12 for their exceptional commitment to the education of youth, leadership within their communities, and supporting peers in a collaborative teacher workforce.

Of the 12 Raytheon finalists, four winners will be selected through a comprehensive review process and announced at a Tucson Values Teachers’ Stand Up 4 Teachers ceremony on November 7. Winners will receive $2,500 each, plus an additional $2,500 in matching gifts to each of the teacher’s respective schools.

Congratulations to our teacher finalists!
