One of the most anticipated upcoming projects in Marana Unified School District is the construction of a brand-new gymnasium at Twin Peaks K-8. This state-of-the-art, multipurpose facility is scheduled to open for the 2026–27 school year, bringing expanded opportunities for students, staff, and the school community.

Over the 2025–26 school year, school improvement projects have continued transforming MUSD campuses into safer, more functional, and more engaging spaces for students and staff.

Thanks to the support of the Marana community, these projects are made possible through the voter-approved School Improvement Bond Proposition 491, along with grants and local funding.

Designed with flexibility and functionality in mind, the new gymnasium will serve as a central hub for athletics, physical education, school events, and community gatherings.

Features of the New Gymnasium

The facility will include several key features designed to support a variety of school programs and activities, including:

  • Seating for approximately 500 spectators
  • A full-size basketball court
  • Two volleyball courts
  • A built-in stage for performances, assemblies, and presentations

Thank you for your continued support, it truly makes a difference for our students, schools, and community.
