    Mission Statement: The mission of the Marana Unified Elementary School counseling program is to provide equitable access to data-informed services that help all students achieve their full potential. We intentionally create a safe environment, build relationships, collaborate with stakeholders, and advocate for students. We close achievement/opportunity gaps and deliver services that promote positive academic, career and social/emotional development. 

About Our Counselor

  • Mrs. Valenzuela is the product of Marana Unified School District, starting kindergarten at Roadrunner Elementary and graduating from Marana High School. Mrs. Valenzuela graduated with honors from The University of Arizona with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Minor in Family Studies. She went on to earn her Master’s degree in School Counseling from Northern Arizona University. She is a member of the American School Counselor Association. 

    Mrs. Valenzuela enjoys spending time with her husband and four CRAZY Boston Terriers - Gracie, Ellie, Hoss & Zeek.
