    Dental Students in live setting Career and Technical Education  
    Award-winning Career and Technical Education programs prepare students to enter the workforce with the academic and career skills needed to compete successfully in the job market. Career and Technical Education programs offer a sequence of courses to students in grades 9-12. Through the District’s Career and Technical Education programs and a partnership with the Pima County Joint Technical Education District, students are offered instruction in Culinary Arts, Early Childhood Education, Automotive Technology, Engineering, Robotics, Marketing, Sports Medicine, Welding Technology, Biotechnology, Dental Assisting, Software and Game Design, and many more career fields. 

    Early Learning 
    Students enrolled in preschool and full-day kindergarten have greater success in learning essential early academic skills. Aligned with Arizona academic standards, the District provides free full-day kindergarten program at all elementary schools. The program is developmentally and individually appropriate in addressing cognitive, social, emotional, and physical areas of development. The District also provides licensed preschool learning facilities at several elementary schools.

    Special Education 
    A wide continuum of services covering all areas of exceptionality, within the least restrictive environment, is available for students in grades K-12. Students receiving special education are supported by a team of professionals who develop individual education program goals and provide related services such as psychological testing, speech pathology, and occupational and physical therapy aligned to individualized needs. The District also provides an enriching preschool program for ages 3-5 years. The Play and Learn (PAL) Preschool Program is an integrated inclusive licensed preschool providing the highest quality education during the school year to children with identified learning challenges and their non-disabled peers. All instruction is aligned with state standards.

    Federal programs 
    The District provides a variety of resources and programs to support the academic needs of eligible Title I, English Language Learner, Migrant, and Native American students. Supplemental programs consist of instructional services that assist in achieving the Arizona academic standards.

    Marana students are offered a K-12 comprehensive competency-based school counseling program. Every MUSD school employs Master-level, full-time school counselors at each school who act as a point of contact for parents & students for assistance in academic, personal/social, and career development. MUSD's Family Resource Center enhances student and family support through the delivery of case management and referrals, an early learning support program, counseling, community and volunteer outreach, and other intervention services.

    Extended Learning 
    The District offers secure, supervised learning and recreational experiences at our before and after-school LEAP Program. LEAP is available at all elementary schools and at designated schools during school breaks. The Centers offer academic support, art, physical education, and hands-on science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) activities geared to academically challenge and engage students in a creative and fun way.

    Marana Governing Board
    A five-member Governing Board represents the community in exercising local control of public education. Members meet on a semimonthly basis to support the District's commitment to excellence in academics and students' personal achievements.
