Kindergarten (FREE Full Day)

  • Kindergarten children excited about school

  • The Marana Unified School District recognizes the significant importance of early education and its impact on future academic success. MUSD test results show students exposed to full-day kindergarten have greater success in learning essential early academic skills.

Our full-day kindergarten program is developmentally and individually appropriate in addressing cognitive, social, emotional and physical areas of development. The extra time for the full-day program allows teachers to challenge students, provide for differentiated instruction, and spend extra time on difficult concepts.

Aligned with the Arizona Academic Standards, the program includes:

    • Language and Literacy Instruction
    • Mathematics
    • Exploration: Science Experiments, Social Studies Projects/Activities, and other standards-based activities to support instruction.
    • Special Areas: Art, Music and Physical Education. Special area classes are balanced, developmentally appropriate and standards-based.
    • Lunch and Recess
