Second grade student-run business donates to SARSEF

SARSEF Check for $557.05 from Corky Kidz Second grade teacher, Aimee Katz, and her students at DeGrazia Elementary embarked on a unique learning journey this school year to learn real-world business skills by developing their own student-run business, Corky Kidz.


These “Fun, Funky, and creative cork designs made by Kidz," are all made out of reused corks, including pumpkins, snowmen, trees, and coasters.


To date, these second grade students have made $857.05 from selling their creative items.


On Wednesday, May 23, students donated $557.05 to SARSEF (Southern Arizona Research, Science and Engineering Foundation).


In February 2018, students donated $300.00 from proceeds raised to Gabriel’s Angels.
