DeGrazia Elementary School Receives "B" Letter Grade
The Arizona State Board of Education has released their 2018-2019 Letter Grade Score (A-F) for every school in the state, and DeGrazia Elementary has again received a letter grade of “B”! This letter grade represents a highly performing level of performance.
Tawnya Caldwell, principal, states "We have always strived to provide the highest quality education possible to the students in our neighborhood and also those that open enroll to us. We are honored to serve all of our children and their families! We feel passionate about providing opportunities for our students to become well-rounded and productive citizens who will be prepared for the future."
Caldwell further states, "Our teachers are focused this year on implementing small group instruction in the areas of language arts in all classrooms at our school. Each Friday we are learning from each other on how to better run our centers and learning stations so that all students are engaged in meaningful work while teachers pull aside those small groups for an extra reading lesson."
