Community Service Projects

Child holding aluminum cans picked up for recycling

We are excited about our grade-level Community Service Projects this year.  There is nothing more fulfilling than teaching our students the spirit of giving and the feeling of serving others. Each grade level selected a project they will work with students on throughout the year.  5th grade’s clothing drive begins September 17-28.

Kindergarten—Artificial turf and kindergarten playground clean-up

1st grade—Animal Shelter food and supply drive

2nd grade—Blankets for homeless shelters and grass ideas for our courtyard

3rd and 4th grades—Courtyard clean-up and maintenance (sweeping sidewalks, raking leaves/grass, plants/flowers, trash pick-up)

5th grade—Organizing Lost and Found; Clothing drive twice a year

6th grade—Recycling awareness and Blue Bin pick-up for K, 1, 2, and 3 grades once a week.

“You need an attitude of service. You're not just serving yourself. You help others to grow up and you grow with them.”--David Green
