The 21st Century Grant allows lower income/high need school sites to provide students academic and enrichment opportunities that extend beyond the school day and throughout the summer. Awarded sites are eligible to receive funds for 5 years contingent upon grant compliance. Through this grant MUSD school sites have been able to offer a wide range of classes such as: tutoring, 3D printing, chess, martial arts, STEM, pottery, cooking, guitar, archery. Parent engagement is provided through a variety of family programs such as: ELL classes, yoga, literacy classes, school movie nights, and take home family activities.
