Student Reading and Math Goals Incentives for 2018-2019

Child looking at a book full of magical information Each student at Twin Peaks is encouraged to meet both their math and reading goals throughout the year.  Goals listed on our web site. This year as part of the incentive our school has decided to incorporate our theme of the year, KINDESS. As students reach their goals they will be invited to show kindness to those in our community by choosing one of the following charities and Twin Peaks PTF will make a donation on their behalf. Please help at home by discussing with your child the importance of spreading kindness through giving. Students will also receive some Twin Peaks “swag” upon reaching their goal.

Tu Nidito is a local non-profit organization that provides comfort, hope and support to children and families whose lives have been impacted by the diagnosis of a serious illness or death of a loved one. The vision of Tu Nidito is that no child grieves alone. Last year, Tu Nidito supported over 800 children from over 350 families.

HOPE Animal Shelter is a local non-profit animal shelter. Since 2006, HOPE Animal Shelter has provided a no-kill, cage-free haven for abandoned dogs and cats to ensure that they are well cared for both emotionally and physically during this trying time in their lives. Their mission is to reduce the suffering of homeless cats and dogs by providing them a compassionate, enriching environment, appropriate medical care, and loving permanent homes.

Tucson Medical Center for Children (aided by Children’s Miracle Network) is proud to be Southern Arizona’s Children’s Miracle Network hospital. Every minute, more than 60 children enter a Children's Miracle Network hospital for treatment. Whether they suffer from common childhood afflictions or fight bigger challenges, TMC for Children provides comfort, treatment and hope to thousands of sick kids annually. The donation will stay local to fund critical treatments and healthcare services, pediatric medical equipment and charitable care for children at Tucson Medical Center.
